The Swiss Costume and Equipment Commission (TMK)
- Is assigned to keep up continued contact and exchange of experiences with the cantonal commissions
- Promotes all of the professions involved with making Swiss costumes
- Supervises the permanent Swiss costume exhibit. Arranges cleaning and care of the exhibits, in conjunction with the cantonal committees
- Has an advisory function. It considers enquiries/requests and gives information in regard to Swiss costumes to the association's management and the cantons
- Develops principles/foundations and training materials and produces training concepts for regional and cantonal use
- Establishes and completes an inventory of all Swiss costumes, in conjunction with the cantonal Swiss costume commissions
- Manages the association's exhibits on request and according to the decisions of the central committee
