The Folk Dancing Commission
The Folk Dancing Commission (VTK)
- Is responsible for training dance leaders
- Is responsible for adhering to choreography copyright procedures
- Prepares a multi-annual program and finance plan, controls and adjusts these periodically and sets priorities
- Collects national and international information about folk-dancing, also in regard to research
- Adjusts existing and new dance descriptions, together with choreographers, in accordance with the new terminology book
- Publishes dance descriptions, background music and recordings
- Carries out annual information meetings between the cantonal associations. Advises of the association‘s committee decisions and subsequent alignments. Supervises regional training.
